Photo Opportunity (2020)

Expanding the Blank Canvas series (the Photoshop transparent layer pattern of grey and white chequerboard painted in acrylics), Photo Opportunity takes the digital objectification of physical space and adds a more interactive aspect.

Whilst the Blank Canvas paintings remind the viewer of their digital objecthood as they stand and move in front of them, Photo Opportunity takes this further by offering the viewer a disembodied digital layer of themselves. The theatrical curtains painted in oils state that this is, as all space is, a performative digital space.
